CDAC - Progressive Challenge #5 1 of 2

Hi My Friends,
I'm coming into the home stretch with the CDAC Progressive Challenges. There will be one more after this one. The winner will receive a 12-set of Copic Markers. I can't certainly use them. I think the 8 that I have, have been getting more than their share of a work out (lol). The theme for this weeks challenge was "Festive and Fancy". There were a lot of images for us to choose from, but this time I chose to only use two which I thought would be perfect for some upcoming gifts I need to do.
This 1st image for the CDACPC5 is from Digis by Phooka(DBP)
When I saw this image I knew exactly what I wanted to do with them and these will be great for mass producing. I use Copics and my Bic Sharpies. I really had fun with this image. The sentiment is from MCT Set "All Around Christmas". The paper is DCWV (last year christmas stack), Ribbon (Stash). Who knows, you just may be seeing this again in some other projects. <wink> Smooches...

CDAC - Progressive Challenge #5 2 of 2

Here is the second image I chose to use from the CDAC5 Progressive Challenge. This image will definitely gets some use. I do like to bake a lot around the holidays so adding this to the delicious package of goodies will make it that more yummy.
This CDACPC5 image is from DigiDrawn
I adhered one set of cookies directly to the tag and pop dotted the other ones up. I did some Distressing with T. Holtz inks on the tag (Scattered Straw, Broken China, Antique Linen, Pumice Stone). Then I misted it with some Perfect Pearls. The sentiment is from my stash that I put together. Smooches...

Birthday Sundaes - Guest Designer

Hi My Friends,
I'm sooo excited and honored to have been asked by Birthday Sundaes to be one of their Guest Designer's today. Today's Theme is "Birthday Card with Birthday Sentiment". Easy Peasy, right? Here is the card that I made using the Paper Doll Dress Up Cart. I have had this cart for a while as some of you may have read, but I've never gotten around to doing one of the doll images from this cart. What's taken me so long, I couldn't tell ya. I mean that was the reason I purchased my first set of Peachy Keen Stamp Faces. Well I can say for sure after this cut, it will be a while before this cart catches any dust.(lol). Here's my B-Day Card w/Sentiment...
The inside sentiment is from PBD stamps. They were perfect for this card. The other stamping is from my stash. This card is also going to a special little guy named Ethan who's been featured on Madison's Funky Cards: "I Feel the Love" project for October. Take a little time to go over and read a little about him. Madison has such a genuine special heart and I Love being a part of this cause whenever I can. Happy Birthday Ethan. I will also be creating a card for his big sister Haley, who's now 8. I think she should Feel the Love too. I've already mailed them before this post. Come on and join us over at Birthday Sundaes and get in on the fun. After all, one can never have too many birthday cards. Smooches...

My Creative Time - Design Team Call

Hello My Friends,
Yes, you read the title right. The Lovely and Beautiful Emma from My Creative Time is having her 1st Design Team Call. Woo Hoo!! I had to read her posting more than once to make sure I was seeing and reading correctly. I was soooo ecstatic to see that this was indeed very real. This would be my Designing/Blogging Dream of a Life Time. Emma is not only Super Sweet, but she's Awesomely Ubber-Talented as well. There was no way I was going to let this dream chance slip me by. If you haven't had a chance to use any of her products, then believe me when I say... her products are worth every penny saved to get them. I highly, highly recommend any of them. Check out her blog over at My Creative Time and check out her awesome projects, videos, dvds, stamps, dies along with her already current, fabulous design team. This intro is in no way a means to butter up my entry; Honest. It's all Completely TRUE. If you read any one else's blog regarding reference to Emma at My Creative Time you would read very similar stories or better. Here is my entry in hopes of my dreams coming true.
I used just a few (wink) of My Creative Time's (MCT) awesome products to create this "Easel Card w/ a Twist". I Love the blending of this sentiment (inside and out) because it's definitely has great meaning to Me. It's a sure way to "Live Your Best Life" just by following it daily. Sooo "Treasure Life's Precious Moments... Do what make You Happy" Best of Luck to Everyone that have entered and those that will be entering. Head on over there and carefully read the details. Click Here.

CWC - Adopt a Shelter Pet Blog Hop

Hello My Friends,
Welcome to Scrapper in the Making and the CookingWithCricut.com "Adopt A Shelter Pet" Hop! October is National Adopt a Shelter Dog Month, but we wanted to honor and celebrate all of our furry friends! If you've come from visiting Heather's Blog at The Hunny Pot you're in the right place! If you've just happened across my blog and would like to hop along with us, you can go to CookingWithCricut.com and start at the beginning.
I used the Famous..."Create A Critter" cart because I couldn't wait to try out my Happy Go Lucky stamps I won. I studded up the collar and made a tag with his paw print. I don't own any pets at this time but I certainly grew up having a few. If I had the room in my home I would certainly adopt one, but for now I can certainly support this cause. Now it's your turn! Link up your purr-fectly wonderful pet-themed project at CookingWithCricut.com . Here are a few guidelines:
Must follow the challenge topic.
Must be a NEW project for this challenge. No back dated posts please.
Must have a link back to this post on your blog.
Must link your project post through Inlinkz and not just your blog.
Must use your Cricut in some capacity.
Must HAVE FUN!
You may gladly combine challenges . . . we love to pile it on TOO!
The Design Team will pick their three favorites and one lucky person will be chosen randomly to win one of the prize packages being offered in this hop. There is also a prize package for just leaving us some love (a comment) on the CWC blog. One catch, those leaving comments MUST be a CWC follower. Each prize winner will receive a $20 gift voucher-download from PaperCraftingWorld.com. The Design Team’s top three will each receive $5.00 gift voucher-download from PaperCraftingWorld.com.

Blog Candy Alert: I will be giving away an Inkadinkado Stamp set. Make sure to comment before EST midnight Tuesday 10/25. I will announce the winner Wednesday morning. Now head on over to Court at Court's Craft Corner to see what they've cooked up for you! Here's the Blog Hop list below in case you get lost along the way. Have Fun & Enjoy! Inking It Up Crazy DT Day

Hello There My Friends, for
It's Design Team day with Inking It Up Crazy. We each had to create something for Halloween Treats. I did a little recycling and figured there is no reason to leave the little ones (babies) out of all the treats and eats fun. I decorated one of my daughter's old baby bottles. Why do I still have it, well... it's a sentimental value from her Uncle & god-daddy. Anyhew, here is a new treat bottle for those little pumpkins out there. Head on over to Inking It Up Crazy and see what the rest of the Team has created for inspiration for you.

D2D Progressive Challenge - Pumpkins & Tags

Hi My Friends,
I can't believe I almost missed this. I'll be quick. It's another D2D Progressive Challenge and this time it's with Pumpkins & Tags. Here is my tag that I created. I can see myself doing a lot more of these. I used my BIC Sharpies, MS Glitter Pens and some Tim Holtz Distress Inks (Spiced Marmalade, Scattered Straw, Fired Brick, Mustard Seed). I'll also be entering this in My Sheri Crafts - "It's The Great Pumpkin".

More Treat Holders...

Hi Everyone,
It's me again with another post for the late hour. I hope you've been enjoying your day. I'm going to be quick with this as I have to get back to studying for this major test I have next week. I need ALL the prayers I can get so shout out a good one for me. Ok, here's the challenges my project was created for:
My Pinkalicious Blog Hop create a "3D item for the Holiday",
Whimsical Wednesdays - "Create bags/boxes or anything that can package Halloween Treats,
More Than Favors' Wacky Wednesday"Create something for "Halloween".
I used the mini monsters cartridge for this treat holder cut at fit to page. I altered the front of it a bit as I was going for a bat-ty look. I also see after uploading this that I forgot to add my sentiment and ink up my edges. Well it's complete now and I'll have to do that later. It's perfect for the little ones at Halloween. I must confess that I don't really celebrate Halloween, but I love seeing the little ones dressed up in their cute adorable outfits. Treat holders and a few cards are as far as I get.

It's Cooking With Cricut Wednesday's -

Hi Friends,
Wow this week is getting the best of me. I have a major test to take for next week and I have yet to open the book. I will need all prayers to get through this one. Anyhew enough of that... It's another Wednesday Challenge day over at Cooking with Cricut. Us Sous Chefs were asked to do a color challenge using PURPLE & GREEN, but also follow one of the Sketch Choices. Oct. 23rd is Mother-in-Law's Day (who knew???) so I/we created projects that would in some way commemorate that day. Here is my project below and the Sketch I chose.
(my apologies on the lighting for some reason this lime green color did not photograph well)
I used the Rock Princess cart and blinged it up. I added some perfect pearls in green and brushed around the frame of the card and used the MS all round the page punch to create that green frame..  I looks really shimmery in person. If my MIL was still here with us, she would totally be getting this card. Head on over to CWC and see what the rest of the Design Team has cooked up for your inspiration. We look forward to having you join in on the FUN. Smooches...

Treat Boxes for Sweet Treats

Hello there My Friends,
Here's a quick project I did to get in on the More Than Favors' Wacky Wednesday Challenge - "Treat Bags or Boxes". I'm sure there's always a need for a treat bags/boxes at any special celebration or occasion. There's also a fun challenge over at Crafty Sprouts - "Candy Goes Here" (make ANY Treat Container). I have my share of a sweet tooth, but not for the all the chocolate like most of you may have. I love the baked goodies... (cupcakes, pastries, pies, cakes, danish...etc). All the "straight from your lips to your hips" stuff (lol). I need a personal trainer for sure with a boot camp ethic to get me in gear for real...(lol). OK, so here's my sweet treat container/box...etc.
Oh, I almost forgot, I used the Wrap It Up cart and cut the box at the Fill to Page setting. All the other embellies are from my stash (ribbon, butterfly, brad, tag, sentiment) Enjoy! Smooches...

Masculine Card

Hi Friends,
I'm so happy to be able to create this card because I rarely do any for males. The majority of my family is women so when I saw the challenge over at Celebrate the Occasion - "Male Birthday Card, must use Metal" well I thought... great. I need to add some make birthday cards to my stash. So off I went. The hardest part was trying to get some metal that would still be masculine. I think what I came up with is fine. Just picture that glass shape as a beer mug and it works just fine (lol). Real Men drink martini too. In addition the challenge over at Birthday Sundaes - "Tall/Long Birthday Card". This worked perfect for what I created.
I had to keep it simple to make sure it remained masculine. The stamp print on the banner flags is from MSS (Market Street Stamps) "Argyle". That's one down and 9 more to go of male cards. I told you my stash was low (better yet empty...lol). You still have time to join in on the fun. Check out both of these blogs, grab some inspiration and join the rest of us. Smooches...

Market Street Stamps - First Anniversary Block Party

Hello Friends,
Have you heard the news. There's some Awesome Goodness going on over at Market Street Stamps(MSS). This month marks their very First Anniversary and they're having a Fabulous Market Street Stamps 1st Anniversary Block Party. They have the most F-A-B prize in blogger history as it relates to stamps. Here's the skinny...
So, how could we make this Block Party totally awesome?
Well, a BIG prize, of course.
How does $600 in stamps sound? :)
Yep, the winner of THIS special Block Party will earn a
$50 Store Credit for 12 months!
OH, and of course, a December Guest Design spot, too!!
So what are you waiting for???? Head on over there, check out the deets and join in on the Fun while there is still time. Market Street Stamps 1st Anniversary Block Party. Here's my entry for this challenge.
I used two of my favorite background stamps: Gingham & Cane on this one with a dash/spritz of perfect pearls mist and some stickes (orange, yellow, red) to bring out the falling leaves from the branches. I Love the Fall Season and everything that comes with it. So I figured I'd combine My Favorite Season with some of My Favorites Stamps. Perfect Combination if you ask me. Smooches...

Throwback Thursday - "Card Feature"

Hi My Friends,
Thank you so much for stopping by today. If you are new here or got here by some typo or fluke... Let me Welcome YOU to Scrapper in the Making. I hope you'll stick around and visit more often. Well it's that time again for another Throwback Thursday challenge at My Creative Time w/Emma. You must create a card using the "Card Feature" from any cartridge, but it must also be a "Halloween Theme". This is also the beginning of MCT's sneak peak for her October Stamp Release. Be sure to check out her blog and that awesome DT of hers and see the showcase going on all this week. Here is my card for this challenge. I used the Mini Monsters cartridge and the Card Feature found on page 47, the Witch Hat and also cut the witch image to layer on top. Also over at FCCB - Challenge Me Mondays "Purple People Eater" (create a project with the color purple in it as well as a monster or bug)

Recipe:
Cart: Mini Monsters
Papers: Recollections
Tools: MCT-Hounds Tooth Stamp, Mini Circle Punch, MS Purple Glitter Pen, PKS-Monster Mash Faces, Stamps from Stash (Skeleton, Bats, Web, Sentiment)
Embellies: Twine(as Orange/Black Hair), Googly Eyes
**sn: My apologies about the not so clear photos, for some reason these colors(purple, lime green, bright orange) did not photograph well together and I'm not sure if the glitter pen on the purple shoes and hat contributed to it. It really is Spooky Cute in person**.

Link Up for Pink & Think Pink

Hi There My Friends,
I made it safely back home and all the way, I couldn't help but think of more projects I wanted to do. It's a curse I know we all share (lol). I wanted to get in one more project for tonight to help with this awesome cause of Breast Cancer Awareness month. I created this for the "Link Up for Pink" at Just Yolie's blog. There were soooo many Beautiful creations out there. I think if everyone were crafters, this world would be a Better & Peacful place. A girl can wish can't she...lol. I also want to add this card to the Cricut Cardz Challenge - "Think Pink". Both of these are great sites and are supporting a Great cause. I hope you like.
Recipe:
Cart: Slumber Party, Stand and Salute
Papers: Recollections, MS
Tools: Butterfly Punch, Bumpy Road Punch, Cuttlebug Spots & Dots Folder, MS Glitter Pen, Homemade Sentiment w/Computer
Embellies: Stickles, Glossy Accents,
I had to create my own sentiment for this one because I knew exactly what I wanted to say and I know there was no stamp out there for it yet. I used my stickles and glossy accents to help bring some bling and shine to it.
There's a Scrapbook Expo going on in West Palm Beach, FL this weekend. I'm going to try and make it  if I can bear getting on the road again after just traveling for hours and hours a day ago. Maybe I'll run into some of you there. I'll share any deals I find if I get anything...yeah right who am I kidding; I hope I can stick to my budget. This will be my first Scrapbook Expo. I hope it's worth the trip seeing as I'm going by myself this time. BTW, Thanks so much for treating my blogger genie so well. I think she did ok, with only a hick-up or two. Smooches...
